Our prototype facility is situated within the tool room and from it we produce small batches of pressed parts, this is particularly beneficial when new designs need to be tried and tested, the designs can be evaluated using the exact same process as will be used for volume production.
This avoids the expense of the manufacture of full production tooling before designs are proven.
Many of our customers use this facility to develop any new products and or enhance existing designs, as part of our commitment to the long term future of any new products, the cost of prototype tooling is partly borne by QEP.
